Another Week...

Well, another week has past us by. This was a somewhat uneventful week for us. I was home all week because everyone was sick. It all started when we left NH with Matt sneezing the whole way home. We all got colds, Liam getting it the worst. Poor guy - he looked so pathetic there for a couple days! But even for feeling yucky, he was in good spirits. I can't complain! I thank the Lord for such a good boy! He really is an easy-going guy!

We were supposed to have the kids get their shots (around here they call them their "needles") on Tuesday, but I changed it to next week because they were sick. So, on Tuesday we are scheduled for shots. Leila gets her first round - her 2 month shots, and Liam gets his 12 month shots. Now, I know what you are thinking - 12 months? Isn't he about to turn 2? Well, yes. As a matter of fact, it is just over a week until he turns 2. We are behind on his shots for several reasons. One is that we just got a family dr. 2 months ago. When we moved here, the dr. that was Matt's family dr. just moved away, so all her patients went to the other drs., which made them have an overload... so, we were put on a waiting list. We had been praying about this, because we really needed a family dr (there are no pediatricians in our town), mainly for the kids. Well, the Lord worked it out that the dr. who checked me out of the hospital after I had Leila heard that we did not have one, so she took us on! That was exciting! Plus, she is a Christian, which is even better!

Anyway, that is one reason Liam is behind. So, we are playing catch up. I am not looking forward to Tueday at all. I hate having to make my kids go through that, but I truly believe it is for their good in the long run. Liam will be harder than Leila, since he is a little more aware of what is going on. So if you think of us on Tuesday morning - pray that all goes well - pray for Liam! :-)

Tomorrow we are starting up our weekly kids program, so we will be busy with that. There has not been a kids program or Sunday school for some time here, and we really feel the burden to reach the children. So, tomorrow is our kick-off, and next Sunday we begin dividing up the age groups for Sunday school. I will be teaching Liam's class - the 2-3 year olds. That should be interesting! :-) I know of at least 2 students I will have - Liam and a boy named Carson.

The weather here is definitely fallish (is that a word?). It got below freezing last night! And yes, I have begun listening to Christmas music! I actually did really good this year. I usually start listening to it around July, but I waited until the first week of September this year! I don't know why, but Christmas music just always makes me so happy! I think Liam likes it too! He dances to it. :-)

In this video we got Leila "talking" a little bit. She was jabbering a ton to Matt before I pulled out the camera, but, as usuall quieted down after I got it! Sorry it is so shaky - Liam was crawling all over me! Enjoy!
