Well, there's nothing much new with us these days. We had a very busy weekend getting ready for our big potluck at church on Sunday for our Thanksgiving Praise Service. It went very well. We had about 58 people attend, which is just great. It was a good day. Because we had a big Thanksgiving meal on Sunday, we did not have one on Monday, which was actual Thanksgiving Day. The four of us just hung out at home, relaxing (I guess the "cool" word is 'chillaxin' or something like that - but I don't know - I'm not cool!). I prepared a gourmet meal for Matt called "Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup." Yes, I know, that is pretty lame, but he ate it!
Then yesterday we had youth group. 13 kids came - with 5 of our regular attenders gone, so our youth department is doing really well. I just love going to youth group! The girls are fun and I love getting to spend time with them. The are all pretty young - 12 to 14, so they are giggly, but it is fun!
The kids are doing pretty well. Liam is just talking up a storm. Some of his newest things he is saying are things like whenever he sees Matt he will say, "Hi, Buddy!" It is funny. He does this cuz Matt always calls him buddy. I taught Liam how to spell his name, so now he does it all the time. This morning, I was still in bed and Liam came up to the side of the bed. I heard him there for a minute, so I pretended I was asleep. Then, he said really loud, "Hi, Mommy! I love you, Mommy!" It was a great start to my day. I just love to hear him talk, especially when he says "I love you." I am going to start keeping a journal of all the cute things he says, because I know that one day I will want to remember, and I know I will forget if I don't write it down!
Leila jabbers all the time, too - even in he middle of the night! She loves to talk and to squeal and to laugh. She is getting bigger by the minute, it seems. A boy, is she a pretty little girl, if I do say so myself!
So, that is about all for now. I know, not really exciting. But that is a good thing, right? I have been keeping myself busy cleaning, reading, playing with the kids, and trying new recipes. Oh, by the way. I LOVE this new website I found for recipes. It is the site where I found the Chili's salsa recipe. It is called RecipieZaar and it gives recipes of tons of your favorite stuff that you would get at a restaurant. My friend Rachel found a recipe for Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, and she said they were really good. So I tried them today, too, and she was right! They are DELICIOUS! Very rich, so you can't have them all the time - but very good. Tomorrow I am trying a chicken recipe from TGI Friday's that Matt and I love. So, if you are interested, go to the link I have here on my blog and search some of your favorite recipes - you might just find something that you love and can make at home!
Well, have a great day all!
Waiting to brush his teeth. And yes - I made his hair do that!

Daddy/Leila time.

Liam brought her monkey to her to hold.

This was on Sunday. You can't tell very well, but she is wearing a yellow jumper and white tights. She looked so cute!

My pretty little Sweet Pea!
