Wow! The weekend just flew by before I knew it! And I didn't get a chance until now to post my Scenic Saturday. So you are getting them, again, on Monday! Someday my life will be all organized. Some day. Anyway, until then, enjoy some pics of some of the projects I have been working on that I talked about in our last post!
| How can you find anything in this freezer? |
| Now its a breeze! I know what we have and where it is! |
| Where the leak in our roof is. See the "pretty" texture ceiling? |
| Doesn't everyone want a bucket and towels in the middle of their kitchen? |
Probably going to have to cut out and re-drywall. Gonna be a big job since the ceiling has the texture to it.
And of course, we still have to find the leak. Have no idea where it is coming from! |
| Gotta love organized toothbrushes! |
Mommy's drawer. Much better than it was before
(Imagine all the nail polishes and make-up rolling all around.) |
The linen closet.
And yes, that is a hamper full of dirty towels at the bottom. What's it to ya? |
I LOVE soft pretzels and found a recipe for them. I'm addicted now. Liam loves them too.
The odd shaped ones were made by Liam. |
| Leila with her long hair. |
| Not a great pic but this is how long it was. |
Ready to get our hair cut!
She makes that cheesy smile all the time! |
Our new hair cut! She looks older to me....
Except maybe for the marker on her chin... |
We went away for the day last week for some shopping and family time.
Got to go to my favorite restaurant! Mmmmmm!!! |
And went to my favorite store!
Its a real treat to go to these since they aren't close by. |

| Girls going for a ride while Mommy feeds Lexi. |
As I said in the last post, my sis and her hubby were coming for the weekend. We were so excited to see them! Hadn't seen her hubby, Andrew (or Uncle Ross as my kids call him) since Christmas of 2010, so it was nice to see him. But, things didn't go exactly like we all expected. They were on their way here, only a few miles from the border which is just a few miles from our house, when they hit a patch of black ice and went off the road. They slide and went into a ditch, clipped a tree and flipped over. Their seat belts were holding them in nice and tight and they had to climb out with the car upside down. All I can say is that we are SO thankful for the protection God gave them, as it could have been so much worse than it was. They both walked away with only a scratch or two - absolutely nothing serious! The car, on the other hand, was not so lucky. It was totaled. Even though it is hard to "lose" your vehicle, it is nothing compared to what could have been.
Unfortunately, they had only had the car for about three weeks or so. So that is a bummer. They are now in need of a new vehicle. Please pray that they are able to find one at an extraordinary price. We aren't sure why God allowed this to happen, but we know that it did not take Him by surprise and He has a wonderful plan at work. I am just so thankful we have our Amanda and Andrew. Thank the Lord!
Have a happy Monday!
Until next time...
