One Year Ago....

One year ago Friday, at 4:07 a.m., my beautiful little Leila Claire came into this world.
She was so precious and immediately won over our hearts, especially her Daddy's. Her first few hours were spent in her Daddy's arms, having their first father/daughter chat. He told her how much he loved her, how special she was, how much Jesus loved her. He told her, that one day, a boy was going to ask her to marry him. Daddy told her that she was allowed to marry him only if the boy loved her more than her daddy did (which is not possible!). It was in those first few hours that Leila became an all out Daddy's Girl.
Over the next year, we have seen her grow and change and get even deeper into our hearts.

Right away, her big brother, Liam, loved her. But, a few months after she was born he figured out she was staying for good, so he acted out a little, but it didn't last too long.

And now, she is already a year old. She is a fiesty little thing - definitely loves to be the center of attention. She is expanding her vocabulary as well as getting braver and will be walking any day now. She LOVES her brother and always wants to be right near him, doing what he is doing. She has no interest in her own toys, but rather wants brother's toys. She smiles super huge whenever she sees her daddy, but still always wants to be held by mommy.

She eating almost all table food now, and is a little pickier than her brother, but still likes most things.

What a blessing she has been to us. We cannot believe that a year has already past. We have cherished this first year, and will continue to cherish our time with her because we know that all too soon, she will be grown up, getting married to that special boy who loves her A LOT, and will be having kids of her own. We love our little Sweet Pea, our little blue-eyed Leila Girl. We feel so blessed by God, and thank Him for seeing fit to allow us to be the parents of these two precious children, and having a third one on the way. God is just so good. Word's cannot express how much we love our children.

Happy birthday, Leila Girl. Mommy and Daddy love you so much!
